Recommendation: Concerns.  Although the committee recognised that amendments had been made to the previous applications which had been dismissed at appeal, they were still concerned about parking, traffic movement, emergency vehicle access and egress.  The committee noted that there were no footways within this single lane and requested that the application be bought to the attention of the Borough’s Highway Officer.  In addition, the appearance of the proposal was not considered to be in keeping with the street scene and therefore to be contrary to policy DG1.   The residents present raised concerns about the alleged loss of protected trees.  The Clerk was asked to pursue this with the Borough.
