Sunninghill Street Fair

About the Fayre

After a gap of five years, we are delighted that the Sunninghill Street Fayre will be returning on Sunday 19 November.

Formerly known as the Sunninghill Victorian Street Fayre, this one day event, running from 12 noon to 4 pm, sees Sunninghill High Street transformed into a busy Street Fayre celebrating the local community. It is an opportunity for local businesses, community groups, schools and other local organisations to showcase themselves.

There will be market stalls and food outlets all along the High Street, interspersed with children’s rides and other entertainment including Father Christmas in his grotto and the opportunity to see real reindeer.

The aim of the event is two fold: to raise vital funds for local organisations and to raise awareness of the village of Sunninghill and its fine selection of unique and interesting shops and businesses.

We are delighted that so many of the local businesses are continuing to support the 2023 Sunninghill Street Fayre, which apart from raising funds for charity brings visitors to the village and helps to maintain the vitality and viability of Sunninghill Village as a retail centre.

The event will commence at 12noon with a parade down the High Street led by the Town Crier and the Hampshire Caledonian Pipe Band

A park and ride service is available from Ascot Racecourse’s Car Park 6, which will take you directly to Sunninghill High Street.  Other parking is also available at The Marist School, Kings Road, Sunninghill.

More exciting details are being confirmed for the day all the time, so for updates keep checking the website and don’t forget to  follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter!

PARK AND RIDE

As part of our commitment to providing a seamless experience for our visitors, we have made special arrangements for a Park & Ride service from Ascot High Street. This service will enable you to avoid the hassle of searching for parking nearby.

There will be ample car parking space available at Ascot Racecourse CAR PARK 6 on Ascot High Street, which all visitors to the Street Fayre can use.  The White Bus Company will run the Park and Ride service making scheduled stops at the Post Office in Kings Road, Sunninghill, where it will also collect those wishing to return to Ascot High Street.

Our Park & Ride service will commence at 11:30 am from Car Park 6 and will run approximately every half-hour throughout the event. The last bus back to Ascot High Street will depart outside the Post Office on Kings Road, Sunninghill at 5 pm. To make your experience as enjoyable as possible we will try to keep waiting times to a minimum and ask for your patience should a short wait be necessary.

We understand the importance of supporting charities in our community, and you can also contribute to local causes while travelling onboard each bus. Donations can be made in support of this service, the proceeds of which will go to the Ascot Day Centre and other small local charities.  A collection bucket will be on board each bus.  Please give generously.

We are delighted to offer this Park & Ride service to ensure your visit is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Hop on board and enjoy all the fun of the Sunninghill Street Fayre!

Parking

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Marist School for granting us permission to use their premises for parking, giving visitors to the Street Fayre just a short walk to Sunninghill High Street.

It is our pleasure to once again be collaborating with the Rotary Club of Ascot, whose members will be on hand to ensure smooth operations.  There will be a small charge for these parking facilities with proceeds of all parking fees collected will go directly to support their charitable causes.

Our gratitude goes out to the Marist School and Ascot Rotary for their generosity and partnership in making this event a success.

Disabled Parking sign

Anyone requiring disabled parking please use designated bays which are available in the car park located on School Road in Sunninghill.

Although Sunninghill High Street will be closed, you can still easily access the car park by turning off School Road into Oriental Road, onto Upper Village Road and then taking a left turn into School Road.  We would like to kindly request all users to park considerately to ensure the safety and accessibility of all designated bays. We appreciate your cooperation.

Entertainment

Greetings! We bring you wonderful tidings that are sure to excite all kids out there! It’s almost Christmas, and Santa will soon be visiting the Grotto at Cordes Hall, so get ready to welcome him!

All you have to do is follow the signs, and once you arrive at the Grotto, you can tell Santa your wishes and desires. And as a cherry on the cake, Santa has goodies for every child! By attending this event, not only will you get a chance to meet Santa, but you’ll also be supporting local charities, including The Ascot Day Centre, by donating for each child.

You can purchase your tickets in advance for £5 per child, or you can pay £7 on the day. To secure your spot, book your tickets by clicking on Santa or the button below, where you’ll have the option to select a 30-minute window for arrival that’s most convenient for you.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of Lynne Turner of Dreamcatchers Childcare who has organized and run the grotto, Inspirations who wrapped Santa’s presents to add a personal touch, and Cordes Hall who generously provided the space.

If that’s not all, Cordes Hall will also be serving mouth-watering refreshments to all visitors to Santa, making your experience a memorable one! Space is limited so get your tickets now!

Say "Hello" to Santa's Reindeer

We have some exciting news to share! Father Christmas has decided to bring his adorable reindeer to The Sunninghill Street Fayre, and you can come and see them! They’ll be at The Ascot Day Centre where you will have the opportunity to pet them.

To make your experience even better, Father Christmas has generously left behind his sleigh, so why not take advantage of this and get a professional family photograph taken in your Christmas jumpers? The photo will be sent to you digitally, perfect for creating wonderful family Christmas cards!

The reindeer are from the Reindeer Centre and are all English bred and farm reared (some by hand), making them extra tame and comfortable around people. There will be experienced handlers present throughout the day to answer all your questions and ensure that the animals are well taken care of.

Space is limited so click on Rudolph or the button below to book your tickets in advance.

You will also be helping to support The Ascot District Day Centre Trust when you attend this event, since all profits go towards this registered charity. Come and have a fun time with your family and support a good cause!
