: Councillor Robert Ellison: 01344 876573: 16 Huntsman’s Meadow, Ascot, SL5 7PF: email@example.com: Leisure (Chairman) and member of Finance and Personnel Committee: I have lived and worked within the parish of Sunninghill and Ascot all of my life so have a fairly good view of the area and it’s needs and issues. I am married to Denise and have four grown up sons. I first became a parish councillor in 2009 when I stood at a by-election. One of the main reasons for me becoming a councillor is that I like to know what is going to happen before it happens and can hopefully have an effect on the outcome. I also feel secure that over the period of my office many projects have taken place. We have improved our playparks which are constantly being maintained. Cheapside is to have its play equipment replaced for the second time since I came to office. We have sited a “Garden of Reflection” at our cemetery at St. Michaels and put in place new paths which are wheelchair friendly. We have undertaken a 10 year project to improve Tom Greens Field and Blythewood making it a more environmentally welcoming place for wildlife of all types. In my business which is sited in the heart of Sunninghill village I hear from many of our parishioners some complimenting the parish on some of our projects such as the annual hanging baskets and Christmas Lights. I also listen to their views and can either point them in the right direction or pass them on to the relevant body. We as a parish council work well as a team with a variety of differing skillsets and abilities and trying our utmost to put the Parish’s best interests to the fore front. I have chaired the Leisure and Cultural Committee for several years and have helped to organise both the “Sunninghill Street Fayre” and our own “Party in the Park” both of which are enormously successful and popular with our parishioners with over 5000 visitors.
