5217 OTHER BUSINESS
Councillor Peter Deason raised concerns about the advertising hoarding by the Beechcroft development in Sunninghill, the dual use as a delivery centre by the One Stop Shop in Sunninghill and the size of the lottery advertisement within the shop’s window. The Chairman said that she would look into these concerns.
Councillor Christine Lester raised concerns about the number of additional houses being built in the Parish. Councillor David Hilton informed the committee that the Neighbourhood Plan, once approved and taken into account as material consideration, could affect this. Councillor Peter Deason informed the committee that the next meeting of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group would decide on the way forward.
The Chairman provided feedback from a meeting held with the Borough regarding the draft legal delegation agreement as to planning functions. She identified the advantages and issues involved which were discussed by members in full. Councillor Jeffrey Yong raised concerns about the administrative and possible financial implications to the Parish Council. Councillor Margaret Duffield suggested that the members took up the Borough’s offer of training before taking on any further responsibilities. Councillor David Hilton proposed that the Parish Council undertook this training, developed closer working relationship with the Borough Planners and then re-considered the legal agreement once the Neighbourhood Plan and associated changes in planning policy came into affect. Therefore it was agreed that the committee recommend to full Council that the Parish Council does not enter into the draft legal delegation agreement at this stage; and revisits this decision in 18 months time.
