Polling Station Consultation

RBWM is inviting people to comment on proposals for the future locations of polling stations in seven of the electoral wards, where temporary polling places were used for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections in May 2022.

They are undertaking a six-week public consultation, from Monday 22 August to Monday 3 October, as part of an interim review of polling places in Bray, Furze Platt, Pinkneys Green, Riverside, Ascot and Sunninghill, Clewer and Dedworth West, and Clewer East. This is to consider the suitability of polling stations in meeting needs of electors in wards where a temporary station was used in May 2022 due to Covid, and to consider whether any of these should become the usual/permanent polling station location for all future elections.

They welcome the views of all residents, councillors and other people and groups actively involved in the political life of our borough, as well as individuals or organisations who may have particular expertise or insight around access to premises or facilities for people with different forms of disability. All feedback will be considered by a cross-party working group of councillors during October, which is scheduled to make their recommendations for consideration by full Council on 22 November 2022.

The attached notice is on display at the Town Hall and borough libraries, along with hard copies available for inspection, and details are also available on the RBWM  website.
